Reid Group President loves it 'when we hit it right' continued...

Challenge facing my company: "With exciting new trends in communication, we are constantly challenging ourselves to keep on top of technological changes. We need to understand the long-term ramifications of these changes to help our clients speak to their markets...We are strong believers in using all possible means to 'let the client's message be heard.'"

My toughest personal challenge: "Keeping a balance between home and business. The industry demands long hours and intense dedication. Our commitment has always been to go beyond and this is what we do. With my partner in business being my partner in marriage, sometimes finding personal time for my family is the toughest challenge. I have two sons, Tyson, 13, and Ryan, 10; it is very important that I spend time with them."

The best thing about my job: "When we 'hit it right.' Nothing is more satisfying than having a client send you a fax stating, "We are too busy to speak. The campaign has been so successful that we are back-ordered and scrambling to meet orders...

Growing pains: "As with any organization under going change and growth, learning when to let go and allow others to take responsibility is always difficult. However, finding you have build a team that nurtures creative talent and innovative thinking, and supports personal growth, is very satisfying."

The first job I had: "My first job was with the family business. I was in my early teens. My father owned Wolfe Construction and hired me as a 'girl Friday.' he let me meet and help customers and behind the scenes I learned bookkeeping and clerical work. It was a very supportive learning experience."

My favourite place to be: "Sailing wherever the wind blows - most recently the North Channel and the coast of Croatia."

My favourite book: "The novel Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand."

Hobbies/interests: "For relaxation and social times, I like wine-tasting, tennis, hiking, herb gardening and entertaining."
